Computer crashed that iPod was linked to, need to link it to a new computer? HOW?

THe computer that my iPod was originally linked to has crashed. It is out of commission. I would like to link it to the new computer but WITHOUT losing all of the music already on my iPod. Is there a way? I would like to take all the music out of my iPod and place it on the new computer. Is this possible? THANKS!

no but you v=can import the stuff on your ipod to you pc:


there are two ways


first one:get a program lik idump, ipod copy ect


second way:do it yourself


1. Connect the iPod to your PC. If iTunes starts syncing (ie erasing) your music automatically, hit the X in the upper right hand corner of iTunes display, to the left of the search box, to stop it.


2. In Control Panel, Portable Media Devices, double-click your iPod.


3. In the Tools menu -%26gt; Options, in the View Tab, check "Show hidden files and folders."


4. Navigate to the Music folder. On my 2nd gen 'pod, the full path is


Portable Media Devices\(your name)IPOD (F:)\iPod_Control\Music


5. Select all the music folders, and drag and drop them into a folder on your hard drive, or directly into iTunes.

so if I can do it, anybody can! Ok, you go to iPodcopy.com,


and you can try this and see if it works. It sort of works


"backward" off your iPod, it lets you transfer songs from your


iPod into iTunes (instead of the other way around). First of all, it will let you "test" this for free, (like it will let you transfer


40 songs or something like that,) then if it works, you buy


the download for $19.99 and do the rest of your music. Then


it gets it all synced up and it works normally after that and you


can do all your normal iTunes functions. Hope this helps you!
Reply:The same thing happend to me but we got the same computer fixed. But theres no itunes so i cant get any new music w/o deleting all of my old so i wanna know what to do also
