When I signed up for SBCYahoo, years ago, I linked a Yahoo ID with the account to get the benefits of the SBC service through my Yahoo ID as does everyone else; BUT, was warned not to link my Yahoo ID with the primary SBC account as it could never be undone (stuck with SBC service for as long as I wanted to use that Yahoo ID). Of course, that wasn't an option; instead, I linked the Yahoo ID with an SBC sub-account which would not force me to keep SBC but is limited in that the sub-account doesn't get the benefits of the primary. So for years now, my primary SBC account (%26amp; associated Yahoo ID) has gone unused, untouched, wasted.
I hear they've removed that primary account restriction so new SBC users can safely link their ID with the primary account.
So... to my question.... how do I do this? I ask the question because I've talked to SBC and they don't know what I'm talking about, they are dodging the request. So what and how do I need to request of Yahoo and SBC?
How do I switch which Yahoo ID is linked to my SBCYahoo primary account?
paul, it's true that if you merge your Yahoo and SBC Yahoo account, there'll be no way to unmerge that except to disconnect the SBCYahoo account. As long as the SBCYahoo account is active, you will have access to your yahoo account. If your SBCYahoo account is disconnected, you can unmerge your yahoo account and if dont do this it'll automatically unmerge after 90 days.
Reply:According to the previous response, there is no way to do this without disconnecting your SBCYahoo. I couldn't find any evidence to the contrary, so it looks like you may have to keep the ID after all.
