Hashimoto Hypothyroidism linked to other autoimmune diseases?

I have recently been diagnosed with hashitmoto's disease and because it is an autoimmune disease, and because I used to have grave's disease (causes hyperthyroidism) I was wondering if these have been linked to other autoimmune diseases.

Hashimoto Hypothyroidism linked to other autoimmune diseases?
The disorder was first discovered in the year 1912 by a Japanese doctor named Hashimoto. In this disorder, the antibodies of a person’s body start attacking the thyroid gland and disrupt the secretion of thyroxin. That is why the disorder is categorized as an autoimmune disease

The symptoms that characterize the disease are –

1. Weight gain

2. Intolerance towards cold

3. Depression

4. Dry skin that has turned pale

5. Muscle aches

6. Fatigue without any reason or without doing much of heavy work

7. Brain fog

8. Constipation

9. Too much hair loss

10. Stiffness in joints

11. Difficulty in swallowing any thing

12. Enlargement of the thyroid gland to form goiter

Reply:I'm not a doctor so take this comment with a grain of salt or two.

I have Hashimoto Thyroiditis, I also have psoriasis, asthma (exercise induced) and allergies (simple hay fever)

All of these syndromes are autoimmune disorders of one kind or another. So in all these cases my body is either over reacting to environmental stimuli (like in asthma or hayfever) or I am over reacting to myself (thyroid disease and psoriasis).

The upside is that I have a really robust, hyper-vigilant sort of immune system. I rarely catch colds or viruses; even when everyone else around me gets sick. I'm happy that my immune system keeps me from getting run of the mill things like colds. But, I wish it would lay off attacking me in its spare time ;-)

Interestingly, my mind has a tendency to attack me too. I've often wondered if one can have an autoimmune mental state.
