Are some casinos still linked or connected with the mafia?

Does it help them get most of there problems solved?

Are some casinos still linked or connected with the mafia?
Most casinos nowadays are too highly regulated to allow the mafia to have anything to do with their operations. That doesn't mean, however, that they don't cater to mafia types and turn a blind eye to things that might be going on under their roof. Certain casinos have earned reputations as "safe havens" for illegal activitity, but there is always plausible deniability. The mob is just another guest at a casino, they're no longer the casino itself. Besides, with the corporate ownership of almost all casinos they have a much more wicked, painful, terrifying tool to help solve their problems: lawyers.
Reply:Who knows, but I would suspect yes.
Reply:yes, all casinos. no problems except money rotating%26amp;controllin .lol
Reply:in the US, I highly doubt it. However, a lot of gambling in Japan is linked to the Yakuza (the Japanese form of the mafia). Casinos are illegal in Japan, possibly due to the Yakuza connection with gambling, but slot machines and "pachinko" are.
Reply:In vegas, I'd bet a lot of North Vegas (Fremont St. Area) Probably still have some 'outside influence'.

Most of the major casinos on the strip are owned/co owned by Wynn I believe. Those that aren't are still corporate owned.
Reply:Im sure there may be some smaller casinos that may have some mafia influence financially. Its not like the old days anymore where they are operating them or have Freddy "no neck" Lisamabambo to break your head if you try to cheat on the payroll.

Most all of the casinos today are owned by major corperations.
