Difference between sex-linked disorders and sex chromosome disorders.?

I'm not sure how to answer this question.

I thought that sex chromosome disorders had to do with the X and Y chromosomes, and so sex-linked disorders would deal with the other autosomes. But aren't the autosomes still chromosomes?

Difference between sex-linked disorders and sex chromosome disorders.?
sex chromosomes disorders make disorders in the body that can include retardation. autism, and skin defects...

sex linked disorsders ( im assuming not sexually transmitted) are disorders that only deal with one sex, boy or girl
Reply:THEY ARE NOT THE SAME

Sex linked means that the disorder occurs only if the person is being exposed to hormones of that sex

It can occur on any chromosome but is only activated if that person is a male or if that person is a female

Boys and girls have genes for both sexes on the non-sex chromosomes but they are only activated under the right hormones *(thats why a guy can grow boobs if he uses steroids)

Sex chromosome disorders actually are found ON the X or Y chromosome
Reply:Sex-linked disorders stem from malfunctioning copies of genes carried on sex chromosomes. The term sex chromosome disorders usually refers to having an abnormal number of sex chromosomes. For instance, a male with an extra X chromosome will have Klinefelter's syndrome.
Reply:they are the same...
